GVI received 501(c)(3) status in August 2010. Up until then, GVI was funded privately by Main Street Resources. As our aims have become more ambitious, and we initiate projects (rather that simply support them), outside funding has become critical to our success.
So far, we have attracted support from many established foundations, corporations and individuals, including Newman’s Own, FCCF, Gault, Aitoro, Kowalski, Patagonia and the Fink Foundation.

We accept general operating fund donations, as well as donations to our internships program at the Reservoir Community Farm and other specific projects. We are also able to accept private, foundation, and corporate donations.
