Diego Osses (he/him)

Managing Director

Diego is an Agricultural engineer with an MBA and a Masters degree in Finance who has extensive experience in farm management, international business development, and diplomacy. He brings over 25 years of experience developed in both his home country of Chile and abroad in countries such as China and Thailand. Diego is a graduate from the MS in Finance program at the University of Bridgeport School of Business. During his first year working with GVI, Diego was responsible for coordinating the 3 main GVI programs: Reservoir Community Farm, Community Gardens, and Youth Leadership; contributing to the GVI mission of creating a more just food system in Bridgeport. Currently, Diego is actively planning the extension of GVI programs throughout 2025 and exploring innovative methods of community engagement through urban gardening and farming.

Alexandria Almeida (she/her)

Outreach Coordinator

Alexandria is a Connecticut native. She has lived in many places across this small state, spent 6 years living in California, and is a frequent traveler. She studied at Western Connecticut State University, and became interested in urban agriculture while taking classes at the University of California, Long Beach. Alexandria believes the events of 2020 provided her with a silver lining; the opportunity to move closer to her family. In doing so, she discovered the world of biodynamic agriculture. Since then she has held a variety of jobs while studying biodynamics and working or volunteering at farms. Alexandria has deep pride in her roots, her home state, and the power of food. From seed to plate, there are so many opportunities to connect with the land and others. She is excited to be back with GVI as the Outreach Coordinator!
